The Importance of Sexual Desire
In our tradition, we have nothing but respect for the sexual function. We're not puritanical at all, but it's to find its place and especially in relationship to the heart. Sexuality as a function of the heart is really more about intimacy than satisfying a physical need. Who is heartful just lives in a world rich with meaning and significance and beauty. And yet these pleasures are denied to us if the heart is hardened, numbed or shut down.
