Chimps and Bonobos Share Food

Chimps and bonobos do exchange food with others but only if they've been shared with first which is what four-year-olds do. When apes saw that another ape had shared with them they returned the favour about 70% of the time. About 80% of the children made the same choice, when children felt snubbed they were unlikely to share food in return.
