i think the audience respects it more when you take a real lived dark thing and make it funny, versus a dark concept that you haven't experienced. To me, if you go personal, you get so much more freedom of speech. For some reason, people can just read you and know if what you're saying is genuine. A lot of young comics will try to say something wild just for like, the flex of it,. And it's not even authentic or true to them. They just read something on readit and are like, omnigo flex, cause it's free speech and whatever. It is, but it's got to be funny. Yes, yes.
