Dunkirk is a perfect example of him conveying information via all these edits so it's effectively like four different scenes cut together. And then the other thing that this code of editing style allows him to do is edit to tone and mood and pace rather than plot. He really figured this out I think in inception but then it kind of took it to like the next level with interstellar and Dunkirk.
