The Importance of Progress in Information Technology

In some areas, we are doing things that are 30, 40 years ago or 100 years ago. But in other areas, aren't you struck by how little change there is? We go to schools that sit in classrooms that are pretty much like what our parents and what our grandparents did. It's such a disproportionate lack of change there compared to the gadget-filled world around us.
