The Woman of Color and the White Man
In both cases, what we see is an affirmation of european culture at the expense of black culture. It seems like our only two options are to capitulate to a negative stereotype or adopt the culture that oppresses us. And that puts us here into chapter two, the woman of color and the white man. So for fenal, his words, the person he loves will strengthen him by endorsing his assumptions of his manhood.
