Polar Bears in Southeast Greenland Hunt Seals

Polar bears in southeast greenland have a round 100 sea ice covered days to hunt seals. That's just simply way too few for a polar bear to survive. So what they do, and the reason that they can stay down there, is they supplement that sea ice hunting season with glacial ice. And glacial ice is is fresh water ice that calves off of glacier fronts. Glaciers are connected to the greenland ice sheet, and that provides a ice platform for bears to use when the sea ice goes away.
