The Power of Ritual
One of the strategies to sort of make more of our time not in terms of productivity but to get enjoy greater happiness with the time we spend is to turn routines into rituals. The example that I use or that I share in a happier hour is my coffee dates with my daughter she is now seven and this actually started from a very functional routine where I was in charge of her older brother's carpool drop off on Thursday mornings. We changed that instead of being at like a functional coffee stop and part of our routine we turned it into a ritual and this became our sort of treasured special 30 minutes each week.
