The Star Appeared When Jesus Was a Toddler

Babylon was not the israelites home. They were taken captive by babylon for a period of time. Some people went back after the 70 year period, but others stayed and the the sanctuaries n the synagogues stayed as well. And some began to consider this the primary way that they would do their version of church in the old testament. Which meant that many of the scriptures were now part of the babylonian culture.
