The Monolith Is Rarely the Enemy

You wrote a book about migrating monoliths to microservices. And actually you reference it in the second edition of your micro services book as well. And you say that the monolith is rarely the enemy. But when you talk about it's a rarely the enemy, what do you mean by that? The monolith has gone from being a statement of a style of architecture to being a value judgment.
