Is There a Common Failure Mode for Artificial Intelligence?
In the end, wind up with a civilization there is nobody around. And maybe it's possible that progress undermines itself. You can live in your utopian world, and then you have etena bliss. I think we should recognize that ther was a stigma attached to pleasure that is wrong. Pleasure might be good. But often there is something wrong without doing anything useful at all. David phyiers has been promoting the idea of re-engineering ourselves so we do not suffer and get maximal pleasure from life.
