Navigating Purity Culture and Faith Deconstruction

Lars if a former member of the Plymouth Brethren denomination and has joined us on The Great Deconstruction to talk about his fairly recent deconstruction and eventual deconversion. Lars’ Bio: "I was raised as a fundamentalist Christian, steeped in church activities, purity culture and creationism. I was involved in the AWANA children's program as both member and leader. While I had many doubts come my way, I just “put them on the shelf,” as Mormons often say. Despite having been hurt badly by many church teachings (especially regarding entertainment, mental health and sexuality), it wasn't until I learned why evolution is true that I actually started questioning whether the things I'd been taught were true.As I discovered, they were not.”
