How to Make a Phone Talk Box
It's actually super easy to work with the phone in this way because you've got a pair of speakers and your phone by your side. You just hit record, make a voice note and then air drop it to your computer and throw it in a timeline. It feels quite vaguely futuristic somehow. I still get some strange satisfaction just playing some drums out, holding the phone up and adding that back into the original recording as some kind of ambience. The last example will be breaking down a multi-track, recording each element to the phone and then essentially adding each layer back to the mix, panned.
