The History of Indian Knowledge

I think Richard's idea of what happened between indigenous knowledge and western knowledge are a bit too romanticised. Overall, the Indian systems of knowledge were suppressed and written out of history. Up to 1950s we did not know whether there was such a thing as Chinese science or Islamic science. But in empire general, there were a number of systems of knowledge in conflict with the western system of knowledge.
