Do You Know if the Casimir Effect Expands Space?

It depends on whether the general relativistic concept of energy density is the same as the quantum mechanical one. So you can create a spot of almost zero or negative energy, but you don't know if it's expanding or compressing space. The idea is that if it is, then you could use it to maybe make a warp drive. Maybe because we don't really even know if it counts as negative energy density in a gravitational sense.
