Tolkien and the Second Age

I still think that the show is weaving a strong fabric of lore and really great callbacks to the Jackson films and original writings. There's a real strong layer of lore and pulling together wider sources from the writings and other films. All that said I do want to point out that even though this episode was based on a lot of action and adventure tropes that I think were overly simplistic and personally just I found boring. And next we're going to have the last bit of my interview with Tolkien scholar Marilyn Pukila.
