The Rhetorical Trick in Deuteronomy Chapter 5

The sabbath is kind of a built into creation expectation for something that the lord is going to do in the future. The reason given for the sabbath in deuteronomy chapter five is because they were once slaves in egypt, and the lord redeemed them out of slavery so they shouldn't live like slaves working seven days a week.
