You say it's a damn near perfect relationship. You also say that you were open to polly, and you raised the subject of being polly early in the relationship. Seems to me that rather than wanting to punish him for having this existing relationship that pre dates your presence in his life and not disclosing it, maybe he rationalized not disclosing it because he'd never actually met this person. The entire elationship was conducted via text. Well, i could see why he might be shy to share that with you, or embarrassed to shared that with you.
