The All Blacks had never won a rugby World Cup before 2007. They were the number one side in the world for three years leading up to that tournament. The team was going really well, beating teams by 40 or 50 points on regular occasions. We got to the quarter final and we played France twice in the 12 months leading into this game and beat them quite comprehensively. So they weren't a team that we feared even though they had some incredible history playing against the All Blacks in previous World Cups.
