The Impact of COVID on Labor Organizations

In the humanities, we were able to continue to be remote for a really long time. But in the sciences, people had to go into labs mere months after COVID hit. And I think that for a lot of people, they were forced back to work at a time when they were still not sure that it was safe or if they were comfortable with it. The failure to safeguard the interest of workers, whether academic workers, non-academic workers, was staggering and has really changed people's relationship.
