The Fuel Retail Space, You Know?
The traditional fuel retail space was dominated by oil majors in the 1980s. That all really started to change in the late 80s and then dramatically changed in the 90s where you saw major refiners and oil companies start to divest their retail businesses outright. So that, that transition played out over a couple of decades, but alongside that you had the big box retailers decide that they wanted to be in the fuel business too. Right? The importance of the convenience store versus just the gas station really started to transform the business. Yeah. It's been a long transition to get here, but it's a very different business now than it was for many, many decades when the industry started.
