The Disaturated Look of Period Films

It's hard to put my finger on it. It's like the costumes look too clean. The reason I feel like we all are feeling the way we feel about this era of films and depicting period pieces is that they got heavily influenced in the early 2000s. We were like production design muting everything because of the old sepia tones, you know, color correction did a terrible thing.
