The genome doesn't actually specify everything about the end point of the product if you will of development it only specifies sort of the rules. I've been thinking of my DNA as a computer code however many times it's run I would expect it to give the same outcome but really we should think of our genes as more of a recipe for say a cake. Regardless of how hard you try you can never make the same cake twice even if you follow the recipe exactly one cake is likely to be a bit drier maybe the other has a thicker layer of icing.
