Is YouTube a Cultural Resource?

I find that these sort of, I don't want to call them social media, but I guess they're like social platforms, right? Like YouTube, Twitter, do really bring power to these lesser resourced languages. But I feel like social media, the term that people feel like is something more like Facebook or Myspace. You know, even if they are media and they are social, but I don't think that a lot of people slot them as being social media.
