The Chinese Recovery Never Fulfills Its Potential
Simea's chief economist Simon Williams says the Chinese recovery has been disappointing. The region continues to be remarkably resilient, despite headwinds from commodity prices and a sharp depreciation of the currency in China. Simea expects growth coming at 5.3% this year, maybe 4.9% next year; that's not a full blown recession by any stretch of the imagination.
