The main use for them is as artillery spotters. They are also used by infantry squads tactically to gain intelligence on the battlefield. Typically this is used for things like tank hunting. A squad of s will send up a drone find out where an enemy vehicle is, where it's hiding and what direction it's facing. And again, they are quite a game changer in terms of being able to get the drop on emy before they can get a shot in on you.
