Is There a Good Alternative to Making the First Democracies Work?

i want to persuade everybody, whether the in ve centre, or on the left or on the right, that there's no good alternative to making this experiment work. If it fails, as it well might, the consequences ae going to be absolutely brutal. And so i think even if you arent right, you know, we all need to figure out how to make those societies work. and i think we are only going to be able to do that if we have an optimistic vision for what that society whid would actually look like.
