Claudius's Invasion
The son of comius, verica, sought rome's aid against the catovalani who had conquered his territory. And claudius despatched an invasion force of four legions consisting of the second, ninth, fourteenth and twentieth legions. So in total, there are about 20 thousand soldiers, as well as an assortment of auxiliaries, marching towards britannia. All of them were under the command of general aulis plautius.
