How to Write in Second Person

If you can't find a way to connect that second person to an artistic reason for it to exist it will end up feeling like a gimmick. I use food metaphors all the time and I was using the example of something like lavender or saffron earlier but those as spices as herbs are they're very intense flavors so there's a reason why you don't put them into everything. Second person is more freeing than first person in this regard because it's still the authorial voice, he says.
