I Like Breeches on a Woman
Actress Francis maria kelly was shot by a fan who thought they should get married. She had been performing in breeches, so in men's clothing and he did not approve of this. He bought a ticket to her performance where he stood up and shot at the actress. Luckily no-one was hurt but it wasn't a great way of getting some one to accept a marriage proposal.
