Taylor Swift's Disagreement With Outsiders
People thought that this was her way of subtly being like, I think it's weird that you guys are assuming that my boyfriend and I are each other's beards. She wouldn't need to code it, she's already asked explicitly. So a question that I have been grappling with while working on this episode is whether or not Taylor Swift or others like her have in some ways eschewed some of their claims to privacy. This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.
