The Value of Information

Weather data is effectively free. But there are other situations where it's not if you were thinking about buying a used car and not from a dealership just from like a random person. And in that case, you'd have to pay that person who performed that service for you. If you want to know the value of information, it's the happiness, or I'm going to call it utility, expected utility.
