How to Mix and Match Carbohydrates

The 90 grams ceiling is based on studies that seem to suggest if you go above 90 grams per hour, you don't really burn much more carbohydrates. That's kind of why that 60 to 90 gram range exists for the longer events is because it's easier to tolerate larger amounts. And if you mix glucose and fructose sources, you can better absorb and handle that carbohydrates.
