The Paradox of Free Will

I suspect that free will is misunderstood. Success in this world depends on having deep models. When you have deeper and longer reaching models, you'll succeed over all the others. I've sometimes made this argument that humans are actually pretty simply deterministic compared to a single nanoparticle inside of a complex substrate. And then we get into this because it's just really hard to predict.
