Confession, Repentance and Reconciliation - The Power of Careless Words Over Others

We each need to take responsibility for our hurtful and careless words. We should never assume that some one knows we didn't mean it when we have spoken hurtful words over them. The simple act of confession, of speaking out loud our repentance can go a long way in bringing healing and blessing to our relationships with those we have sinned against. But how do we actually become people who can control the tongue? It comes back to abiding in the vine of jesus and being empowered by his spirit. As we spend time with jesus, growing in our intimacy with him, we become like him in our hearts and our inner character.
