The Peril of Father Reese's Rejection of Transubstantiation
Father Reese claims that the doctrine of transubstantiation is just an awkward import from a quinuses synthesis of Greek, in particular, Aristotelian philosophy. The term was used 200 years before St. Thomas Aquinas was even born. Similar terms that don't come from the deposit of faith would include hypostatic union or even Bible. They could be substituted with other words, but the dogmas and revelation they represent absolutely cannot be rejected.
