Shakespeare's Measure for Measure

We're much more likely to see a version of the Tempest which stresses Antonio's unrepentance. Measure for measure has been central to the redefinition of the comedies as serious and complex, rather than as it was in previous critical and theatrical dispensations. One last element I want to try to take on in thinking how we could investigate the question of measure for measure genre is the notion of tragedy comedy. It may be that it's useful here too.
