Elitch's writing style is clear, something I wouldn't say is indicative of other writers of the 1970s. Meeting Everett Reimer inspired him to question the value of extending obligatory schooling to all people. He lists a bunch of people who have influenced him throughout this entire project - Fré, Peter Berger, Jose Maria Bullness and Joseph Fitzpatrick.
