The Importance of Technical Depth in Architecture

The question is was there enough time to even think about technical depth? Was it just reckless so people were under a lot of pressure or was it prudent? Still in that case if you have a lot of time you can still get some technical depth as we will see in a minute and whether it was deliberate or inadvertent. What's worth bad architecture without test cases or ok architecture with test cases? That's one of the things that you could debate I guess for quite a long time.
