Travis Dropped Cab From the Name
Travis Ober is the co-founder and CEO of uber, a ride sharing service. The company was recently served with an injunction by San Francisco for not having permits to operate as cab companies. He decided to get help from private equity investor Bill gurley who had invested in his previous start up firm bench mark. Gurley would go on to become one of the biggest investors in ventra capital worth more than 600 million dollars.
