What Was It Like to Invest in 1979?

In 1979 Paul Voker was raising interest rates and the stock market sold off but only about 30 percent tell it just take us back what was it like to invest at that time in 1979. In 1981 Volcker really with you got the prime rate over 20 percent I literally remember buying CDs for clients rates over 20 percent. Back then I wasn't a money manager I was a smiling guy only broker so I had to get people's agreement to do things  it was very hard to get clients to go further out to get less yield.
