What's the Difference Between the Air Temperature and the Water Temperature?
The air and the water would change temperature at different rates. It might be cooler in the water because it can hold on to the temperature better. But I think what the water does is maybe mimic the temperature of the food itself. So sometimes if you have a cold drink, it's heating up slower than cold air or something.
