Is Social Security Really Inefficient?

I think there's an interest in obscuring where the money's going and cultivating this idea that the government's inefficient. Social Security, I think it's a fantastic program that serves tens of millions of people. Their administrative costs are actually very, very low. Very few people realize that. The Washington Post ran a big story as though, oh, my God, look at these bungling bureaucrats. They're sending out huge amounts of money to dead people. And the reality when you looked at it for a minute was, no, they're pretty damn efficient.
