The second chorus adds some new layers while turning back inward. She's still going through the four chords throughout this verse, just like she did in the first two verses. But she's stretching them out and re phrasing them to match her vocal phrasing. That whole verse feels like an anguished cry after the quiet, sort of inner despair of the first chorus.
