Liberation Theology in Latin America

The episcopal conference of latin america's second conference, that takes place in the 19 sixties in meriin and that's where the idea of liberation theology is born. The bishops are tasked with finding a way to fit their own pastoralism within these new structures. And so you begin to see a divide amongst the church hierarchy here over whether or not they should be using this sort of discourse. But also comes out of this an idea of catholic base communities - which could help us understand what it means to be a christian community.
