Lynette's Death Was a Murder Investigation
Lynette's wristwatch had stopped at 1.45 AM, which is likely to be her time of death. The subsequent murder inquiry was led by Detective Chief Superintendent John Williams who joined the police back in 1954 aged just 16. Azospermix semen found present both in Lynette's vagina and her underwear within six hours of her death. Some of the blood found on Lynette's clothing, including her exposed sock, was found to be from a male with the blood type AB. Appeals for Information led to a number of witnesses describing a white male, approximately five, eight, five, 10, aged in his mid-30s with dark hair and a disheveled appearance.
