The Leaders and the Crowds

There is a clear distinction in the gospel, John, at least through many of the narratives between the leaders and the crowds. Jesus doesn't want us to simply cheer for him. He wants us to repent. That's the bottom line because repentance means a change of life. And that's the whole point of the word of God.
