The Extra Dimensions of String Theory

Klein changed the idea a little bit by making these extra dimensions small. And I don't know whether he was lying to have extra freedom in those dimensions or not. But it's an example of what's called a fiber bundle and you want to say that the freedom is in the bottom, not in the fibers. It's not the other symmetry. They have an extra dimension because all the functions on your space are down here, not up there. So that's fine. That's not really an extra dimension. It's an extra dimension which doesn't carry any more information.
