The Evolution of the Egg

An electromagnetic field is the volume over which a force will be enacted with the right kind of particle for it to act on. So gravity, the field is everywhere. I let go of something and it drops. That's a gravity field. And mass in a gravity field responds to the force of gravity by falling towards the center of the object. If I had an electric field and I had a neutral object, it is not responsive to the electromagnetic field. We'll just stay there.
