How Does a Preverbal Infant Recognize Efficiency?

I'm actually really interested in this. How does a preverbal infant have this ability to stand, oh, that's an efficient path? How do they calculate what's efficient, what's not efficient? So i think that's a wonderful question, and i think it's been understudied. I can't wait to see more studies of this. We have em we have a paper coming out soon, i hope, a six to eight year olds reasoning about agents actions on spherical surfaces.
